Fanciful Affair Raises Money
Contra Costa Times Article

For 15 years now, Mary Chapman has been in the business of making dreams come true. The executive director of an Elderly Wish Foundation is readying for the 14th Heart to Heart fundraiser. Set from 5:30-11 p.m. Feb. 27, the fanciful affair will be at the Lone Tree Golf & Event Center in Antioch. The evening will feature silent and live auctions and a gourmet dinner. Tickets are $65.

A major fundraiser for the group, it helps ensure the foundation's mission statement is honored: "Enrich the final days of the terminally ill elderly by making a life-long wish come true."

An Elderly Wish Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to make a special wish come true for a senior who has a life-threatening illness. This foundation has expressed to many families in Contra Costa County the importance of caring for their seniors.

A special fundraiser, in which prize drawing tickets were sold at $100 for two, to benefit Antioch’s An Elderly Wish Foundation (AEWF), resulted in raising $7,000 for the charity and giving away $2,000 to three lucky participants.
